Buying a Christmas gift for the man in your life has gotta be even easier than buying for you kids.  Guys like action.  However, as they (we) age, we like watching action.  You may not be doing anything for your honey’s exercise program by buying him another TV, but maybe that’s what he wants!

Men can always use tools, new computers, drills, power saws, chain saws, etc.  We may never use them.  We just love to get them to show off!  I am not kidding.  We love tools.

Most men will never be offended if you give them a gift that they don’t like.  My wife bought me baking sheets for my birthday.  They were a perfect gift all her baking!

Forget the romantic gifts.  We like to give them, but not  to sure what to do with them.  Romantic gifts just confuse us.  Please forget giving us flowers and things like that.  It’s a total waste of time.  Pizza will do!  If you must buy romantic, how about a weekend away without the kids?  Make all the arrangements including child care.  You will be a star in his eyes and you will enjoy even more than him!

If your husband is a wine or beer drinker, this is a time to splurge and buy something nice that you may enjoy too.  Easy does it.

If my wife were to give me the perfect Christmas gift this year, it would be an LCD TV.  It would make a great gift that the entire family can use.   She would love it, the kids would love it, and I may occasionally watch it.  Here’s a big tip-buy early!  Prices will go up a month before Christmas.  It’s like buying gasoline on the 4th of July weekend.  Greed gets the the best of profiteers.

Good TV For The Price   Review Date: July 20, 2010 Reviewer: A. Dibble, I will start out by saying that I use this TV as a computer monitor, so my experiences are different from others. I normally sit about 2 feet from the TV, as it is situated on my desk behind my keyboard and MIDI keyboard. It's works great so far; no dead pixels and great contrast and color. The only downsides come from me using it as a monitor: it does not auto power up and down with my computer, which means I have to manually turn it on and off. Otherwise, the screen real estate and picture quality are great. I can easily display 2 windows side-by-side. I prefer it over using 2 monitors because it takes less power and there is no gap in the middle. Some may argue that it is only 1920 pixels wide. However, because the screen is so large, the text can be set smaller and is just as easy to see, giving the same sense of real estate. If you can find this TV on sale, I say buy it with no hesitation. The DVD instructions have 138 pages for you to print out. The hookup to the purchaser's existing sound system requires a special cable, not included, and nomenclature of the cable is not given. The sound-out cable plugs into a 'laser' source on back of set, it is NOT an RCA plug-in. The laser connector has to go into a laser receptacle on your system, and without the laser plug-in in your system, one must go and buy a new compatible sound system.
